Ingredients
  

  • 2-1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 tbsp teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, room temperature
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup packed dark-brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp salt
  • 2 tbsp pure vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1-1/2 cups white chocolate chips
  • 1 cup macadamia nuts, coarsely chopped

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the Oven and Prepare Baking Sheets – Preheat your oven to 350°F (180°C). Line two large baking sheets with parchment paper to prevent sticking and ensure even baking.
  • Mix Dry Ingredients – In a medium-sized bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour and baking soda. Set aside.
  • Cream Butter and Sugars – In a large bowl or the bowl of a stand mixer, beat together the unsalted butter, granulated sugar, and light-brown sugar on medium speed until the mixture is light and fluffy, about 2 minutes.
  • Add Salt, Vanilla Extract, and Eggs – To the butter and sugar mixture, add the salt and pure vanilla extract. Beat in the eggs, one at a time, until fully incorporated. Ensure that you scrape down the sides of the bowl as needed.
  • Gradually Combine Dry and Wet Ingredients – Slowly add the flour mixture to the wet ingredients, beating on low speed until just combined. Avoid overmixing, as this can lead to tough cookies.
  • Fold in Chocolate Chips and Macadamia Nuts – With a spatula, gently fold in the chocolate chips and coarsely chopped macadamia nuts until evenly distributed throughout the cookie dough.
  • Portion and Bake the Cookies – Drop rounded tablespoons of cookie dough onto the prepared baking sheets, spacing them about 2 inches apart. Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown but the centers are still slightly soft. For larger cookies add more cookie dough as seen in pictures.
  • Cool and Enjoy – Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheets for about 5 minutes before transferring them to wire racks to cool completely. Once cooled, dig in and enjoy your heavenly homemade chocolate chip macadamia nut cookies!
